Welcome to Reading Club! Since 1991, I have been teaching and learning with my students in the classroom, special education, highly capable, and as a reading interventionist. Watching my students grow as individuals with their personal interests and academics, is one of my favorite parts of teaching. I earned my degree in elementary education and with a minor in special education from Indiana University and a masters degree in literacy from the University of Colorado. I’ve been fortunate to live in beautiful places and Bainbridge Island holds a special place in my heart.

I have a husband, Chris, and a son, Clay. We enjoy hiking, skiing, scuba diving, playing pickleball, playing games, reading, painting, eating meals and traveling together. Our other furry member of the family is our cat, Luna. Her favorite pastime is lying on her back and getting pets.
