Community Updates (Odyssey, Mosaic, and EHHS)

Welcome to October!

Fall has arrived with the changing leaves, cooler, windy weather, and the shorter days! It is my favorite season because I love soup season, harvest, and everything pumpkin! We're also going to see more rainy weather, so please remind your students to wear layers, boots, and hats for outdoor recess and walking around campus. 

We are off to a wonderful start to the school year. Our students are active learners, the energy is positive, and our K-12 community is busy together! We also had successful Back to School Nights for Odyssey and EHHS last month, and we encourage all parents to stay connected and reach out to teachers or myself if you have any questions. Checking in with your students weekly about academic support needs and their daily schedules is an important and proactive partnership goal. The year is underway and we want to make sure we're all supporting one another. 

Our goal is that all of our students make connections and know that they BELONG. As educators and staff members, we are here for all of you...parents, guardians, and students. I look forward to partnering with you this year, meeting new goals, and finding more reasons to celebrate! We can do anything together!

  1. Skyward Updates: Please update parent/guardian contact information. This is how we communicate with you all through correct emails and phone numbers.
  2. Parent Volunteer Process with BISD: Please go to the BISD Parent Volunteer link to complete the process. Complete this process early so you can begin volunteering on campus right away!

BISD PPR Annual Notice: 
The Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA) is a federal law that provides parents/guardians of elementary and secondary students rights regarding the collection of data for surveys, marketing, and certain physical exams. The Bainbridge Island School District Board of Directors has adopted Board Policy No. 3232 detailing the rights and obligations of the PPRA. 

Please review the BISD Family Handbook for all information regarding policies, procedures, schedules, and community resources.

Bainbridge Youth Services: Offers free and confidential youth counseling, parenting support classes and counseling services, in addition to free tutoring. Please check out the wonderful services of BYS.
