Community Updates

March 1, 2026
march

Welcome to March!

Spring is in the air! The sunshine and daffodils are a positive sign for warmer days ahead. We had another busy month at Commodore with information nights, transition to 2nd semester, Odyssey student conferences, and a science fair! We know how to keep our weeks engaging and active.

March is a long month without any breaks for us...which will help all of us with routines and consistent schedules. We will celebrate Women's History Month and focus on all of the incredible contributions of women throughout history and in our contemporary lives in the U.S. and the world. The winter Olympics definitely highlighted the spirit of female athletes!

As a college basketball fan, I also love the excitement and energy of NCAA March Madness...and this year should be exciting with so many teams playing well. We may need to bring back our staff March Madness basketball challenge! Ryan is still the reigning champ! Let's Go!

Finding joy and reasons to celebrate daily with our students, colleagues, and families helps to make our community a safe and supportive place for all, even when the daily news seems overwhelming. I am grateful for our tiny corner of the world on Bainbridge Island and at COS k-12.

Thank you all for your support and commitment to COS K-12! If you have any questions, please reach out to me.

Warmly,
Tricia Corsetti, Principal
