Hello! My name is Ryan, and I'm the K-12 school counselor at Commodore Options School. My wife and I, along with our three daughters, moved to the area in 2021 after spending a few years in Oregon and most of our lives in California. We love it here and enjoy exploring the outdoors, having dance parties at home, and sharing meals with friends.

I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Global Studies and later from CSU Sacramento with an M.S. in School Counseling. Most of my professional life has been in schools - following in the footsteps of my parents, who are both teachers - and I love the dynamic nature of working with students and their families.

A long time ago, I realized that social and emotional health are key to a child's successful development. My goal is to help young people, regardless of their background, become genuinely good people who know themselves, contribute positively to their communities, and lead personally fulfilling lives.

I feel very lucky to be a part of the Commodore community and the Bainbridge Island community at large. This is a truly special place to live, work, and build friendships.
